Warm October,

We had around 20 degrees on Saturday and Sunday this weekend. 26-27 October. Not usually this warm this time of the year. The bees made the best of it, although they were  a little preserved and did not go totally mad. They still do their exercise flight after lunch which I have managed to capture on camera. Will add pictures on here soon.
Otherwise I have not opened them or done anything. They are still coming in with pollen and look busy on and off. They are amazing to watch. I am also learning about their behaviour and its change depending on weather conditions which might be just round the corner or in a few hours time. I have been reading about honey that is produced from spruce trees. Or actually there are some bugs like greenfly which feed on spruce trees and the bees milk the greenfly, just like ants do, with bees  – they take the juice and turn it into this beautiful honey that is suppose to be full of goodness. I have not opened mine but would think they have been able to collect some of this goodness too for themselves.
