13th of January 2015, …

Well I have just looked at my camera and I took a picture from the front door, 20141224 011  20141224 013  this has been the greenest Christmas I remember for a very long time.On the other side I found it amazingly relaxing being at home, spending time with Mike and Roxy and with the rest of the family. It really was relaxing. But once the snow and cold came, winter came rushing in and I was suddenly spending most of my time on the slopes, so I went from being at home to being on the slopes from one day to the next, the first week was mayhem, everybody wanted to be outside and enjoying the snow, also considering we went from +5 to about – 17 in a matter of days, that really was a  shock to the system. My new ski boots proved to be pretty good, to believe they would have kept my feet warm was a foolish idea, they are so much better than the old pair. I have now changed the insole for a “superfeet” insole and that seems to be helping the comfort zone,  as long as I keep them at a steady temperature I am happy, once it gets cold though there is not much I can do, other than investing into heated insoles I am keeping that option open for now.  Went out snowboarding on my Jones board today, finally got it out, only went out on the old K2, but the Jones oh what a board, had such fun riding with Mike and a couple of guys. Totally brilliant.

We have had snow, nothing amazing, although Mike has managed a couple of rides off piste, since than that snow has gone and we are back to mostly prepared pistes, today we had +4 and sunshine, fingers crossed more snow on its way.
