Addition to our family, …

…  and I am not counting the shrew in the beehive which I suspect moves in there when the night comes along and its freezing. I have not had the time to sort anything out about it, other than put a mouse trap under the hive. I like shrews, mice, etc, I do not like the idea of it being there. Except of course it has only and purely used it as protection and then it will be forgiven.

The biggest addition is our two lambs, our ewe gave birth to two beautiful lambs on the 6th of March, I came to check on them in the afternoon and there they were, one lovely and dry and walking around and the other was just getting cleaned as it was freshly born, one male one female, both lovely, we just go there every now and again to make sure they both have enough milk as our ewe is a first time mother. She is not doing too bad, pushes one away a bit drastically but it seems to cope with it reasonably well and is back at the teat as soon as she finished having a go. It has given me lots of pleasure going there and looking after them. Can’t wait to get them in the field and see them run and skip around. Will add some pictures, Mike has taken some, so will add them soon.

Snow melting fast now, had +12 degrees the last two days during day time.
